[Dailydrool] Basset Vocabulary

Dear People Owned by Bassets,

Please  understand that Bassets have selective hearing.  In other words, if 
we  don't want to listen to you, we just pretend that we don't hear you or  
understand.  Did you ever notice how we look the other way when you are  
talking to us?

I comprehend an extensive vocabulary but would never share  this bit of 
information with the humans in my life.  They think I only know  words like 
"out, cookies, treats, sit, stay, down" and all the other usual  doggie words.  
But my vocabulary far exceeds those ordinary words.   Since I am a "Diva", 
words such as tiara and pedicure are much more important to  me.

My Mom has read several articles that my vocabulary is approximately  200 
words - geez, they are sure underestimating the intelligence of  Bassets.  If 
they only knew how much we really understand!
