[Dailydrool] URGENT - 2 senior ladies in Oregon need help & a new home before MAY......

Oregon Basset Hound Rescue is trying to find homes for 2 senior ladies.
Phoebe and Callie are littermates.  They are tan and white purebred,
spayed Basset Hounds, almost 13 years old.  Callie had one eye removed
about one year ago due to glaucoma. So far, the other eye is healthy.
She weighs under 50 lbs. but over 40lbs.  She eats, but does not gain
weight!  Of the two, she is more reserved, but she will warm up to you
after a little while.  Phoebe is quite the character...she seems like
and acts like a puppy most of the time.  She loves attention and will
readily approach you.  Phoebe has no health problems to date and neither
dog is not currently on any medication.  Both dogs enjoy basking in the
sunshine and eating treats.  They have been "inside dogs" and sleep in
their kennels at night.  They have never been allowed on furniture and
never been fed table food, so they do not beg.  They are not aggressive,
but they will chase cats out of their yard.  They don't live with
children, but gentle with them.  Both are housebroken and will ask to go
outside when they need to go.  At their age, they would probably do much
better if someone were home all day.  We only have until May before the
owner will be forced to take these 2 to the shelter.
