I have a question regarding colitis is one of my hounds ... we adopted
Francine ... She has colitis issues,...<<<

Courtney,
I have a Colitis hound, Beaver, and I also had a borderline gastritis dog,
Miko.
Low fat, high fiber diet is what you should be feeding Francine. Also, feed
her 3 meals/day, but the amount of food needs to equal the total of what you
fed her normally, before she developed Colitis. So if you were feeding 2
cups a day, spread out that 2 cups into 3 meals. Also, give her a little
snack before she goes to bed; that snack doesn't have to be very much. Just
enough to get her through the night.

>>>...question is regarding treats for training ... Does anyone have any
recommendations for a easy-on-the-stomach-but-still-tastes-good treat?...<<<

I use Simon and Huey's Soft Training Treats for all my dogs, including
Beaver, the one with Colitis. Right now I'm using the Salmon, but I've also
used the Kickin' Chicken, and Wild Ginger.

You could also dehydrate your own treats using the same meat source of the
diet your vet has Francine eating.
