[Dailydrool] dog shows

I second everything that Nigel and Lewis's momslave said. I've had most of
that happen to me too. I've seen a gal's half slip fall off as she gaited
her whippet and she just flipped it out of the ring with her foot without
her dog breaking stride. I got so short of breath at one show when I had
sarcoidosis that after my dog won, he came out of the ring and offered to
call me an ambulance. There is one breeder/judge who loves telling the
story of his very first judging assignment when he put up my Little Girl to
finish her and I was so short of breath and red in the face that he thought
I was having a heart attack and that he'd killed me at his very first
judging assignment. And this past w/e, had there been one more time around
the ring, I would have lost my "knickers" cuz by the time I left the ring
the elastic was more than half way down my butt! But no one would have
noticed because I would have dropped dead of exhaustion first. I've taken a
header into the mud, fallen flat on my face in front of what felt like half
the west coast, had my dog back out of her collar in the ring...twice. In
fact she did it again this w/e. I survived. And I go on. And no one
remembers. Except that bit about Doug Taylor thinking he had killed me.
Oh, and they remember the time I threw up on my competition ringside. But
otherwise, no one remembers.
