Hello All!
Just a friendly reminder from your faithful mod squad about posting
etiquette and protocols:
1. Please remember to change your posts to PLAIN TEXT (and NOT HTML) before
sending them along. As you will occasionally see when people forget, HTML
posts are scrubbed by the system (although we can see them on the moderating
page and therefore approve them). Your system should have a "Format"
function or button where you can change the sending style of your messages.
Every system is slightly different -- but they all give you the option to
send in Plain Text.
2. If you respond by hitting reply from a previous digest, please remember
to DELETE the previous DD before sending your message. Otherwise, if
approved, it will reprint -- in its entirety -- as part of your post. We
moderators cannot edit posts, so we have no choice but to reject these
messages -- and we hate hitting that reject button over such a little
technicality. So please remember to delete before you submit.
3. If you are receiving multiple DDs (or no DDs) since the changeover to the
new hosting site, please alert dailydrool-owner at dailydrool.org. If you are
NOT receiving DDs, please try adding dailydrool at dailydrool.org to your
address book. Your system (which may have recognized the old DD address and
host) may not recognize the new one and may filter it as spam. Also check
your Junk Mail or Spam folder.
4. Lastly, *tip your waitress* -- or in this case, please send thanks to
Alex and Melissa Jokela for the HOURS and HOURS of time (not to mention
dollars) they spent migrating everything to a new host in order to resolve
the ongoing problems with our Yahoo-based Droolers. They are the Drool's
secret weapon and our greatest allies!! They deserve a 10,000-hound salute
for all they do... quietly... behind the scenes... without fanfare or
applause.
This has been a public Drooler announcement. We now return you to your
regularly scheduled Drool...
