Bill here, press agent/personal trainer to Miss Angela Basset, Droop and Drool Diva of Wichita and Sedgwick County

Miss Angela sits among the tulips and says:

"We here in Kansas are so glad that our language-challenged little buddy Brother Elwood is home and doing well. We were quite concerned.

It is spring here on the Great Plains and getting warmer. My employee is starting to embarrass me again by wearing shorts. I suppose that soon, his legs will change from fish-belly white to a respectable tan and I will be less chagrined to be seen in public with him. I have determined that he should relinquish his Emeritus status and resume his role as personal trainer. We now go on daily walks around the neighborhood. It is good for him and I enjoy it too. I must admit that I wintered a bit too well and need to get a little exercise.

I am spending more time outside, surveying my neighborhood and greeting my public. Whereas I was just going out to do my business (and none of yours!) I now stay out longer, basking in the sun and watching the neighbor
two leggers play. There are baby rabbits scampering around. I will wait my opportunity to pounce on one of them though I am not much of a pouncer.

My one complaint about the spring is that the lawnmowers are back. Now I not only have to put up with that noisy Dyson when I am indoors (thank dog Bill is FAR from a compulsive cleaner) but have to endure the racket of lawns being mowed. Our next lawnmower will be electric, I think.

The pond has been cleaned out and the waterfall is working, so I get to have fresh, fish-flavored water when I am in the back yard. I enjoy watching the fish.
I find it relaxing and it diverts me from my normal travail of working on my dramatic skills.

All in all, things are going well. I get to have Bill's niece as my personal attendant when Bill goes on vacation. That is good. She loves me and gives me lots of belly rubs and ear skritches. Plus she doesn't know the rules that Bill has tried to impose on my existence.

Snooters to all my friends and drool to all in need. Be strong, Brother Elwood,
and get well quickly. And you might consider that the Elder Clara might have gained wisdom with her age.

Miss Angela (did you see that my human namesake is going to be on ER?)
Bill (It's baseball season. Go Yankees!)
