Hello everyone,
Well, we took Watson to the specialist today. I have to say I love
that guy. His name is Dr. Roony and Flat Irons Veterinary Specialists
in Longmont, Co. I'm in no way affiliated with that place, and in
fact, just paid them thousands to fix Watson's knee, but they are just
the best. If you live in Colorado and need orthopedic surgery, you
should consider taking your dogs there. I called yesterday freaked out
about Watson's limping, and they squeezed me in at the earliest time
they could today. Dr. Roony came out into the lobby to check out
Watson because he knows Watson hates the exam rooms. He checked Watson
out and said that it seems stable so there aren't any tears or surgery
requirements....yet. He says that Watson probably strained it by
overdoing it. Our latest theory is that Watson was jumping to get the
peaches off the peach tree in the back yard, and landed wrong. So, we
have to do two weeks of rest and drugs, and then if after that
Watson's not limping, we will know it was a strain. If however, he is
still limping after two weeks of cage rest, then it may be a tear of
the miniscus. So, for now we're resting....Watson is on his pain
killers currently off in la-la land. We're relieved. Thanks for all
the drool - that stuff is magical!

Katie and, of course Watson (currently skipping along the daisies with
the butterflies...please leave a message.)
