This is from a friend of a friend who is starting up "WoofReport.com".  There are lots of basset figures and things on the website, so someone in charge must have a basset :)

I don't know anything about it - just passing on this email in case you think it's fun.


It's called Woof Report.  It's similar to Daily Candy (or one of the other popular email newsletters) in that it is basically a daily email about dog related events, charities, cool new products, websites and other funny misc dog stuff.  We are trying to create a niche by adding an interactive piece like a blog, a photo gallery with comments section, and some other interactive things.  It's got a focus SF Bay area, but we have lots of east coasters because about half of what we post relates to national products/events/websites. We haven't done any formal marketing yet, so far it's only been word of mouth which makes it kind of cool and exclusive. We are really working hard to get the word out and will be launching a press release and some PR next week.  We're even sending a press kit to Oprah! What do we have to lose?!

So please check it out, please sign up, and forward it to people if you like it. And if you happen to dislike dogs (haha...you know who you are but I thought I would ask you anyway) please do me a huge favor and pass on the site to others who might be interested.

We are having lots of fun with this and really hope it takes off.  We are also meeting with some investors next week so who knows what it all could lead to?! It is all pretty exciting.
