[Dailydrool] Introduction - Kids, hounds & peanut butter....

Hello fellow droolers!  I have been reading the DD for about a week now and just laugh at all the funny stories and basset antics!  Oh does that sound like my house!  


My name is Lizz and I am a trustee, intake coordinator and foster mom/failure for Basset Hound Rescue of Alabama.  I have been in all breed rescues since I was 15 or so (29 now) and have worked with my mom in Ohio specializing in Border Collies, Great Danes and any animal that crossed our path.  I'm recently became a stay at home mom (not going to last too much longer) to my daughter Alexis (4) and son Aidan (2) and am married to a wonderful man who allows me to do what i love to do with out much grief.

We have a good ole Heinz 57 (Malcolm) whose 6, my first basset foster failure Sport (Sporty the sportster) whose turned 3 in August, Tide my second failure who turned 2 in October and 3 kitties (Anakin-9, Raven-3 and Morris-7months).
We currently have a foster named Speedy who is an AAARRRROOOOHHHing 1 year old.

I look forward to reading everyone's stories about their bassets and sharing mine.

The pictures say it all....

Just another day in the Kolenich household.

We just bathed the dogs 2 weeks ago and in the last two days have been covered in yogurt, toothpaste, nestle quick & peanut butter.

Yes, I watch my children, I swear I do.  Man, they are fast and sneaky though.  I can't say my hounds are much better because whenever the kids are into something... they are right in the mix of it!  I guess you could say I have 4 children total... 2 legs - 4 & 2    4 legs - 3 & 2

Oh - and they have to clean up their own messes.... dogs included!
