[Dailydrool] charlie update and thank you to all

Just wanted to update a little on my little girlie Charlie --- I had posted the other day about the vet thinking she had lymphoma.  Well, I finally talked to the vet today and the tests were inconclusive.  They were wanting to do further tests to rule out tick-born illnesses and finally decide on lymphoma or not.  But even with that the vet is still certain that that is what is wrong with her.  So, I had the option to do more aspirations and a biopsy, but I have decided not to.  After much soul searching, research, and talking to lots and lots of people, I decided not to put Charlie through chemo afterall.  I just think it would be harder on her in the long run.  She gets carsick every time we get in the car and although it wouldn't be really far to go to the specialist, it still is farther and more often than her regular vet.  And with chemo I would also have to work overtime in order to pay for it, and although I am more than willing to do just that, it would take me away from her much more than I want to be.  So, I've decided to just do prednisone and diet and herbs and spend every extra minute with her that I can.  I still am not 100% positive that I am doing the right thing --- and don't think I ever will be --- but I just feel it is the right thing to do for Charlie.  Over the past few days she has shown both improvement and decline.  She is vomiting, which is not good, but at the same time she is running around, playing and being as crazy as ever.  So tomorrow will be a little milder of a breakfast and hopefully she will keep it down.  But at the same time that I will worry when I get home tomorrow that she will have vomited again, I will also be worrying that she stole all the Christmas presents and opened all the good ones.  I want to thank everyone for helping me through this though.  I received a lot of very nice emails and saw some posts on here too that really helped me feel not-so-alone.  I have friends and family that are helping too, but I knew that the wonderful people on here could be turned to also and that has made a big difference.  So again, thank you.

PS......my howliday cards will be going out in another day or two......sorry I am a little behind, but I sure have been enjoying receiving them too!
