[Dailydrool] introducing a cat to hounds

I have 2 Bassets , both are 19 months old and have only ever seen a cat to chase it out of the yard. I just adopted a 1 year old cat from the shelter and I am not sure the best way to get them aquanted with each other. They have seen each other and the dogs get very excited and howly, the cat is scared but not terrified. I was hoping a few droolers might have some suggestions. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
