Susan, in reply to your post, I am saddened. Perhaps to you we go to far  for 
our beloved hounds. Stamp me in that group. I have them, all 5 rescues  
because it was my choice, but my choice came with conditions on my end-to love  
them, accept them as they are, make them safe and warm, never to want again-for  
anything. We made the sacrifice, as a full life commitment. In this house they 
 are not just a dog, they are my family. Your post hurts for all of us that  
rescue, pamper and provide.
