Jessica,

I know exactly what you are going through with Diva. My sweet Abigail, who has gone to the Bridge, was a basket case when it came to going to the vet. I would have to drag her to the porch and then at the door I would get behind her and push. She would stand in the corner glued to the wall while I was checking in and it was not better in the waiting room. Then it would be the drag and pull trick getting into the room. At the end of the visit, she would not even take a treat, this from a basset it unheard of. She once had to have a tumor taken off and the doctor ended up coming out of the office and sat with her in the waiting room and took out her stiches. After rabies shots, we would have to keep her at the vet, because of the reaction it would cause almost immediately after the shot......as I am pulling into the parking lot I hear her howling. I cannot tell you how bad that always made me feel. When she did get sick with cancer the worst thing for me was leaving her with the specialist. I would have slept next to her the whole time if I could have. I lost 15 pounds in a week just with worry for my sweet girl.

Ella Louise is just the opposite. She goes in and demands attention and thinks everyone wants to pet her in the office. She would sniff out the treat dish and empty it if I let her.

Good luck Jessica. It is so hard on us slaves when we know our babies are feeling anxious.

Diane
