Dear Daily Drool,

This is my first official post as a keeper. All the way back in October of
last year Pat Dill and Carol Sharp agreed to "transport" me from the
Pittsburgh area to Tri-State territory. My original owners had separated,
the sheslave and little 2-leggers moved away to eastern PA, and I was left
with the heowner while they decided about a divorce. They used to love me,
but once the sheowner left things went downhill. Food didn't show up very
often, fleas took up residence in my coat, no one cut my nails, and my eyes,
ears and teeth got infected. And I was outside all the time. My sheowner
asked Tri-State if they could take me, even though I lived outside their
territory, and Uncle Bob said that Pat and Carol had moved out that way and
might be able to help. Funny thing is, though, instead of "transporting" me
(which I think they used to do on Star Trek), they let me hang out at their
house. They had their vetman fix me all up (except for the heart murmur
they found), and I got to live inside again, and there was always lots of
food, and I got pets again!! It was really nice.

But Patslave has been sick taking "chemo" treatments and Carolslave travels
a lot, and they weren't sure that I could stay. Especially because I can be
cranky when they give me medicine or when Sadie walks up while I am getting
pets. But they had a long talk with me, finally, and said it was up to me
if I wanted to be a keeper or not. If I wanted to be a keeper I had to
promise to behave more nicely, and I had to let them know what would make me
happy. So I thought and I thought and I thought and one day I went up to
Patslave and told her very politely that I really wanted to stay.

Now, mind you, that was a few months back, and nice as the sheslaves are
they are not very speedy, so it wasn't until I went to my very first
BoardWaddle in Oshun City that FINALLY we ended up with a contract to fill
out. And then it took them a few more days to fill it out and send it back.

But the contract is in the mail, and I am now a KEEPER!! I have my FOREVER
home!! And I am doing my happy dance!!!!!

Hooray for me!!

Greetings to all,

Bailey the Fosternolonger
