Woofstock was Saturday!! Woohoo! The weather HELD and it was so much
fun. We did meet a few droolers, and the sight of hundreds of basset
butts waddling along the path on pawrade was great. It cheers me up for
months. The soccer moms/teams/families waiting to get in to the park
while we waddled by were vastly amused. There were a couple of buppies
there, and every manner of gorgeous basset face--and tail--and paws--and
smooshy ears...and ahrooooooos.

Our Nellybelly had an audience with a "pet communicator" there. This
woman was awesome, and told us Nelly is kind of depressed and just has
"something missing," that she does not know how to bond very well. We're
not surprised by this, esp. as we know she was a pet store puppy. This
on top of her health problems---all the more reason to be so careful
when you choose a new pet, either through rescue or a very reputable
breeder.
Thanks SO MUCH to all of you kind people who contributed to my
firstgiving page for our pledge. The page stays up til Nov. 13; I did
not make my goal yet, but I was happy to be able to help NEBHR with what
we did. I am grateful for your generosity.
Linda with Otis and Nellybelly (Whoa! That was a fun day!)
