[Dailydrool] Woke up this morning to find a chihuahua in my bed

I can't seem to get the above phrase out of my head, sung to the opening strains of the theme song to the Sopranos ("Woke up this morning with a blue moon overhead".

Harley's girlfriend, Ruby, a chihuahua, snuck under the fence and through the doggie door sometime during the night last night (usually she comes over during the day and goes back home at night). At about 3 AM I woke up to discover a chihuahua nestled into my neck with her head on my pillow. A couple of minutes later my husband woke up and got up to use the facilities, and Ruby let out with a barrage of protective barking, startling the willikers out of both of us. Bill put Ruby outside and closed off the dog door. I haven't seen Ruby yet this morning--I wonder if she got in trouble at home for sneaking off in the middle of the night to rendezvous with her boyfriend? I wish I could communicate with Ruby's people, but they speak no English, and my Spanish is limited to what I've picked up from quizzing my son when he was in junior high school.  So far all the communication we've established is "El perro se llama Ruby. Mi perro se llama Bo and Harley."
