[Dailydrool] Update on Louie

I took Louie to the vet on Monday as he has been excessively hungry and thirsty the last few days. We got the results of his bloodwork back late yesterday and everything looks okay. Blood sugar is normal so we have ruled out diabetes. Liver and kidney function normal, too. At this point the substitute vet (our vet will be back from vacation next week) thinks his symptoms are mainly due to the steroid he takes to control his inflammatory bowel disease. For now we will try reducing the dose a bit and see if that brings his appetite and thirst back into normal range w/o upsetting his digestive system. We will follow-up with our regular vet next week. Otherwise, Louie seems fine which helps to ease my mind a bit. His hunger and thirst are not any worse and may even be lessening a little. Thanks to all who sent drool; we really appreciate it.
