Deborah, your post about the differences between your bassets and the foster was so touching, and so true.? What I hope is that, someday soon, your foster will have a forever home of her own, and know that she is loved.? Then, she will bark for her dinner if it's not served fast enough, ignore her mom when she calls her, and stretch herself out on the couch as much as possible, to take up as much room as she can!?

Courtney, I'm not sure what you mean about coming to pet Franny from over the top of her.? I did read that children (and anyone, really) should never pet a dog by putting their hand above the dog's head.? The dog can't see what you're doing, and could try to bite you.? My dad always pets Fred this way, and gets annoyed when Fred keeps twisting his neck to see what my dad is doing!? I've told my dad to pet him under his neck, but he won't listen.? It's actually pretty funny watching my dad try to pet Fred, and Fred's head whipping around in circles!!

Rose, Annie (Not only do I stretch out on the couch, but I push my mom out of the way so I can sit in her spot!) and Fred (When Grandpa tries to pet me, I get dizzy...)
