Thanks for all the info on alternatives to Rimadyl.  I have tried 
several other things with her, on grain free/home cooked diet, herbal 
combos. etc.  Dog Gone Pain is just one more avenue I hope that will 
work for her.  I am a big believer in acupuncture and chiropractic work 
on my dogs.  My old vet was a specialist in both areas.  I did take Kita 
to a vet for acupuncture treatment four times but it wasn't a good place 
for her.  She had to ride about 45 minutes, be put in a small, HOT room 
(only one available for treatment) that had a fake cat statue in the 
window all of which she didn't care for.  She never settled and the 
temperature was way to high for her.  No matter how may times I took the 
"cat" out of the window, she still insisted it was real.  So I didn't 
take her back because of the stress it caused her.  To my knowledge 
there are no others that offer it in this area we now live.  So keeping 
fingers crossed that the DGP will work for her.
