I am so sorry that Stanley has made his way to the bridge.  My heart feels your pain. You did everything you could to help Stanley. He left knowing he was loved very much.   He is free of pain and  Josie, Cin, Kai and Cleo are taking him under there wing and showing him the ropes and  where the best home cooked soft treats are. You are so right in saying  They are the hidden treasures within every rescue.

Adopt a Senior Hound. Seniors are the best. They will steal your heart in a second make you laugh and cry  and add wonderful memories to your life
 
When we give over our lives to the seniors, we know our time may be short, we just forget this part while we are loving them
