[Dailydrool] Tails & White tips

I have two siblings, same mom and dad just different litters, Maggie Wags  
has the white tipped tail and Evil Annie does not, I watched Animal planet 
the  there night and they had " Dog's 101 "  the Basset was one of the breeds 
 and they mentioned the white tip dating back a long time, and that the 
white tip  was so the hunters could recognize  the dogs in the  brush so they  
didn't get shot ! hmmmmm ?????
