Shhhh!  This is Darwin sneakin' off to the 'puter while mom is out to 
dinner.  She always enjoys reading about the DD calendar hound of the 
day, so I thought I'd tell you about us on our calendar day.  I'm the 
handsome one in the middle on the 2/13 calendar day picture.  You 
wouldn't know it, but I'm about 12 now.  Mama took me in about 6 
years ago from an all-breed rescue, and before that I was at the 
county pound.  Chipper Charley is almost as old, but he has only been 
with us about 3 years.  He came from the pound too and had a really 
hard life.  He's half basset, half dachshund, and Mama calls him a 
foster failure.  I just call him my brother.  We get along 
good.  Then there's the little diva.  Her name is Freckles The Flower 
Child (because she eats flowers) and she's a foster failure too.  She 
is in the "terrible twos" stage, and Chipper and I despair that her 
brains will ever be delivered.   Life is good though, as you can 
see!  We are three lucky hounds, and we wanted to share this moment 
of pure contentment with everyone.
