What is with this? So many times, I have rescued a pet who was well
cared for.. because the owner died. The family couldn't be bothered
even trying to find a home for the dog. In some cases, the owner is
going to a nursing home.. sometimes we contact them to let them know
that their dog is safe. They knew their son or daughter took their dog
to the shelter.. and worried about the dog.. I cared enough for the
person I never met to allay their fears but their own children couldn't
care less. 

What a sad world we live in.
