[Dailydrool] The World According to Norm - Brrr! & My Poem of the Week

It's me again - Norm!

Jeeze Louise - when is summer coming back?? I like the snow about as much
as any basset can, but this is getting ree-diculous! Mom won't let us stay
out for more than 5 nano-seconds and when we try to stay out, then we get
ice balls between our toes and that hurts. Then we act like we can't walk
and Mom has to come out and carry us inside. She says she is getting too
old (and cold) to carry us *big boys* in from the back forty. Then there
are the snow hills - they are taller than I am! I know I am not very tall,
but what can I say? I am what I am! And the ice! Dad puts this blue stuff
down but he says it is even too cold for it to make the ice go away.
Finally, the ears! OUCH! Mom made us these cool fleecy blue camo snoods,
but Opie keeps pulling mine off when we are outside.

I decided that my poem of the week should be about the freezing cold. Brrrr
- hope you like it!

In the freeze!

It's ten degrees, we're in the freeze

When we went out today

We ran around

Sniffing the ground

Inviting the squirrels to play

It's eight degrees, we're in the freeze

Around the yard we stroll

Our toes are ice

It isn't nice

 On the morning patrol

It's six degrees, we're in the freeze

The birds they are a'squawking

Our tails are tucked

And they are stuck

So we're having trouble walking

It's four degrees, we're in the freeze

The temperature is dropping

Sidewalk's slicked up

It's tough for a pup

Starting and then there's stopping

It's two degrees, we're in the freeze

The wind is really blowing

Jack Frost has bitten

We need some mittens

We wish it would quit the snowing

It's zero degrees, we're in the freeze

The weather is just squalid

We run in and out

Without a doubt

Our world is frozen solid

Drools to ya!
