[Dailydrool] How to tell if your hound is at the right weight

Robert,

Thanks for the very clear method of judging a houndie's weight.  Your directions are much less vague than the usual, "You should be able to feel your dog's ribs."

In case anyone missed it, here's a synthesis of Robert's comments:

1. Clench your hand in a fist.
        Feel the knuckles on the back of the clenched fist.
        If your dog's ribs feel like that, he needs to gain some weight.
2. Open your hand.
        Feel the knuckles on the palm side of your open hand.
        If your dog's ribs feel like that, he's overweight.
3. Open your hand.
        Feel the knuckles on the back of your open hand.
        If your dog's ribs feel like that, his weight is about right.
