eye pathology is one of my least favorite and I have had to learn about
the eyes more lately...since our Minnie Mouse is being treated for it.
Here is an interesting twist to what I read on the DD from a few of
you. One of our vets in town suggested suturing the third eye lid up
over the eye to cover thus perhaps heal the ulcer when drops and meds do
not. Tobramycin eye drops...is what I give Minnie after the vet clears
away the ulcer. ugh...........makes me shiver...they do not feel a
thing cause of topical anesthesia , but ...well, I did not want to put
MInnie thru such a surgery, so I cont....to medicate both with
hypertonicity ointment and the antibiotic. It worked...her eyes are
at least stable for now. It is so interesting to read all of your
posts and comments about it from around the U.S. Our eye specialist
is Dr. Yakely in Spokane, Wash.
