[Dailydrool] Has Jordan outsmarted me again?

Ever since I clamped all the corners of her crate, Jordan has been in
the crate in the morning and when I come home. And she has only whimpered a
little bit. About 3 am this morning she started crying and yelping. I
yelled down the stairs for her to settle but she kept it up. Fortunately I had
closed the windows and turned on the AC so no cops came banging on my
door to see who was being slaughtered. As she kept it up, I began to worry
that maybe she was hurt or caught a nail or something so at 3:45 AM, guilt
overcame me and I went downstairs and let her out of the crate and then
since she was up, put her outside with Loki who had followed me down, Loki
was back in about 2 minutes but Jordan did not appear for another 5, just as
I was grabbing a flashlight and getting ready to go look for her. As she
trotted in, all basset bouncy and wagging tail, she suddenly accelerated
past me and dashed up the stairs. Yup, there she was cuddled up in the middle
of my bed. Not having the energy to try and herd her back into the crate,
I let her spend the rest of the night snuggled against me. I suspect that
is what she wanted all along since previously she has spent every night in
her crate, making noise (or escaping) only when she heard me or the boys
stirring. Loki was rather put out as she snuggled into my stomach (his spot)
so he climbed up on the pillows so he could snuggle against my head! I
didn't get a lot of sleep after that.
Kathy with Crackers(who slept thru the whole thing, Loki and Jordan who is
on her way to running this house.
