[Dailydrool] Homer atb and grooming

Last Christmas I gave the XH a Drool calendar, which he has enjoyed very much.
However, today he came into work with Homer's page folded in his breast pocket, terribly upset, thinking Homer had gone to the bridge as a pup.
I was happy to reassure him that Homer lived out a happy life, full of mischief.

Now a dumb question: Like many people I am finding the shedding is hevier than ever this year. Last night I brushed Clara for an hour with a Zoom Groom brush, but there was still hair coming off her. It occoured to me that there may be a "proper" way of grooming a basset which may help speed up this process. Any tips please?
