[Dailydrool] Basset trivia question

[Mary Tipping]

Could the answer to the trivia question be Earle Hagen, who died in May, '08?  He was a prolific composer of music for movies and also TV show themes, including the whistling theme for the Andry Griffith Show.  I found no information whatsoever that he had a basset, though (but he worked with Marilyn Monroe, who did)!
 
Mary, Harley, Biggs and Leo (who actually loves to sit with daddy and watch the old Andy Griffith shows)
