When discussing the costs, you need to remember this varies depending on what is done with the remains. I don't know what my vet charges for the injection itself. I always have a private cremation, so I can have their ashes back home with me. The lion's share of the cost is the cremation and is by weight. I don't know what the specific ranges are. So the cost has been around $250-300. At 160 lb, Baja was a bit more, but even then I did see they charged me the range that ended at 150 lbs, not the next highest one, so the difference may have been dae up by the vet as I imagine the crematorium charges what they charge, as they don't know me personally. So, it will vary if you take the body to bury yourself, have general disposal, group cremation (no ashes back), or private cremation with ashes returned. Sadly, my mantle is getting filled with little wood boxes - 5 dogs, 2 kitties right now. I keep saying I'm going to make a memorial garden and put them out there, but just haven't done it yet.

Drool to all who are sick or sad, especially Cookie as Pw Blossom goes on ahead to make the Bridge beautiful for when they meet again. It will be great to see what she's done with the place when I get there myself someday.

Synthia, so many bellies to rub, so little time
