Good morning Karen

So pleased to hear that things with you and the hounds are more settled.
When Helen passed away 3 years ago at home with sudden heart attack ,
Justin went outside and would not accept what was happening and we
almost lost him. Jade stayed on the bed with Helen until she was taken
away. To this day she loves it when the ladies visit us. What helped
Justin was giving him Helen's gown. In summer he lays on top of it and
in winter we cover him with it.

The part of the world you are moving to is a wonderful part of the
coast. We had a home in Knysna which is +_ 40 kilometres down the coast
from Wilderness. Jade has never been to the coast she does not travel
.When moving Coco, Piper and Whisky to the 

coast and you intend introducing them to the sea many animals not only
our Hounds do not like the soft sand when not used to it.

There are many lagoons in the area, park the car by the lagoon and start
your introduction on the firmer ground and once they are used to it
gradually introduce them to the soft sand. They will love there beach
walks. Justin loved to chase the waves back into the ocean but when they
came back ran to us.
