Congrats M. and D.Person on your new buppy!  he is adorable!  I love his markings and he has beautiful long ears!

I bet once Nigel and Llewis get to know him they will all be furbuds.  Schroeder and Sophie are now inseperable but it took some time and her losing her razor sharp puppy teeth.  

I am very much looking forward to the stories when you have time to write!!!!

I've been busy with springbreak taking care of animals[I have a petsitting business]. I was catching up on drools and read about Wednesday's Mom Tuesday. We are so sad. In reading Becky's posts I see where Wednesday gets her stubburn streak.. As I look at Wednesday sleeping I am just so sad. I will tell the tomorrow. Our prayers are with Reed and Becky and all the kids. I thank them again for blessing me with Tuesday's precious Wednesday. Lisa, Wednesday and Booty

Saturday morning, Speedy, Simba, Simba's owner went on a hike.? When we started the trail people were giggling, saying " you sure your dog can keep up" To which I say HA! Speedy is named Speedy for good reason.? He was leading the trail and making sure is delicate liddle paws did not get wet by steping gingerly on the rocks to cross the creek..

He is pretty good about being off leash, but this time he waited for no one..

My she slave was all happy and the he slave heard to say, "Just don't tell 
me how much...."  Auntie Nancy's really kewl coffee mug arrived! You know, 
Auntie Nancy who created the Drool and is the boss lady "THEY" of Houndsbay. 
Auntie Nancy owned and operated by Grand Marshall 05 Scooter Pie. He who 
made her make a hundred customized pins, then ate em....he of Scooter Pie's, 
"Chew it Up a Notch" cook book.....no, you are not getting my treasured 
copy....

He made Auntie Nancy learn to make Nancy, er, fancy pottery and bake it and 
stuff for pledges for the paw hounds. Gotta say the mug she slave bought on 
houndsbay is BOOTIFUL. Iffen Auntie Nancy were to keep her promise of their 
being more, I thinks ya should bid on it. Probably quickly before my she 
slave forgets how much she paid for the first one or the he slave figures it 
out!

Stop her before she bids again! Her hands should be full of the much too 
fancy to use mug.

Please send lots and lots of drool to Miss Becky who is 15 and almost four months. Saturday she refused to eat till supper and was just not right. As you know I live in a place with lots of stairs and as I think about it she did stumble on flat surface a couple of times SAT but was ok - just not right and when a basset won't eat as new vet said 'it's a concern'.
So she was ok Sat night and got out of my bed to go to her couch and I heard her moving at 3 a.m. she was on couch but when I got up at 8ish she was not on couch but on floor and wet cuz she had peed which she never does.
I got her moving and noticed her back leg was sticking out and paw under.. She could walk and went upstairs to my bed dragging her leg.
Phoned son and we took her to vet hospital (emergency) and vet said her heart is seriously not good.  EKG showed her beats were far apart and erratic.She kept saying "I"m sorry'. so bad
So an xray also showed a mass on her right ventricle. News very bad . Sandy (with advice) and Richlyn both phoned which really helps cuz I told vet ' I know she's old but not ready to let her go yet but'. and a new heart pill which could get her better or kill her.I won't let her suffer so will know today what reg vet thinks.
This a.m. she got up and drank her water went pee on balcony and is back sleeping.
Drool please cuz it works. And of course Alta's in a big snowstorm AGAIN.

The grubs are destroying my lawn!

But I don't dare use harsh chemicals that might hurt dogs.  Does  anyone have 
any suggestions about things they've tried that can get rid of the  grubs but 
be gentle to everything else?

We received our fudge this weekend!  It's the best fudge I've ever had.  We
ordered a pound of Chunky's chocolate fudge with raisins and nuts in it.  I
can't believe how much like the old Chunky Candy Bar it is!  SO if you
haven't ordered your fudge yet, get busy and do it!  It's great plus it
helps the paw houndies out!

Good morning all

Healing drool to all who need.

Jade is still licking her vagina area probably because of the bladder
infection , sill another week of antibiotics to go. Never having had a
girl Basset before still trying to read between the lines. Elizabeth the
Great Dane was dognapped before we got a chance to get to know all these
girly problems a bitch could have. We are planning on having Jades teeth
done on Tuesday 31/3/2009,

Her last antibiotic is on Friday 27/3/2009. Justin will go the same day
to have the warts done. Still need to discuss Justin's cataracts with
the vet and specialist to decide what must be done.

They both had breakfast in bed this morning as well as their medication.
Probably still suffering from the exertions of the weekend.

They were chasing Golden Mongooses, Hares and Pheasants in the fields
across the way from the house. We have a airfield about

3 kilometres from the house for recreational air craft. There is also an
old cemetery .As a result lots of open spaces , grassy fields and woods
mainly consisting of OAK and FIR trees .
