[Dailydrool] Princess Fiona went to Rainbow Bridge today :(

Tonight are eyes are filled with tears and we have heavy hearts.  Princess Fiona, a Basset that I rescued about a year and a half ago went to the Bridge today.  
She was a great Basset girl, she was here at my house after being found as a stray in 2007.  It was on Thanksgiving Day, my mom came to visit and when she was getting ready to leave, we all went outside to tell mom goodbye.  Then Princess decided to jump into my moms car, I looked at my mom, knowing that she needed a forever home and said, "look mom she picked you, she wants to go home with you."  So after a few of my "please mom, take her" looks, it was final.  Princess had a new home.  
Princess went through ups and downs with my mom.  My mom had previously had a very pristine home.  Princess was the typical Basset and was giving my mom a run for her money.  Eventually through time, my mom fell into the Basset spell and she ended up with an incredilble bond with Princess.   You know, the type of bond common to us, sleeping in our beds, eating  our food they aren't suppose to eat, demanding belly rubs and so on.  
Princess spent the last days of her life spoiled rotten.  She had packed on a few extra pounds and today after she passed suddenly, the vet said she had a heart attack.  
We will greatly miss her.  Infact, my mom is having a terrible time coping.  My mom is not a drooler but if anyone is able to I would really appreciate if you could send a note or card.  My mom could really use her spirits lifted.   Email me privately for her address.
