[Dailydrool] Rat-face Ruby redeems herself

In the last episode of our ongoing soap-opera, Harley's vagrant chihuahua girlfriend, Ruby, had alienated herself from my husband and been banished from our house whenever Bill was home. That was Thursday. Yesterday, my husband and I were away for a business meeting of his and the bassets were here alone with a visit from a dog-sitter. Ruby was also here, according to the sitter. When we arrived home at night, Bill found, to his surprise, a nice steak bone on his pillow, left for him by Ruby. (Had either Harley or Bo known about this, the bone would have been in the stomach of one or the other). Today, Saturday, Ruby arrived as usual at about 7 AM. Bill did not object when she came in, and in another unexpected turn of events, Ruby did not yip at him even once. Ruby has always let loose with a barrage of yips when Bill is at the front door after returning from an errand. Today she greeted him quietly, wagging her tail. There is no doubt in my mind that
 Ruby recognized she was skating on thin ice and is making an effort to redeem herself. Bill has decided to put her on probation, and as long as her good behavior continues, she is welcome here again. Harley is thrilled.
