[Dailydrool] Without my hounds

We leave tomorrow morning for three weeks in Turkey. I dropped our  
Elsinore and young Charlie off at Jennifer's. They love being at  
Jennifer's. They love Jennifer's dogs, basset Owen, Chloe, and Lola.  
Jennifer lets Charlie get on the sofa and Elsinore sleep the night on  
piles of dirty laundry, things they're not allowed to do at their  
house. But as I was leaving, Charlie cried and yodeled for me at the  
fence. Jennifer said he did that the last time I left him there, too.  
Even though I knew he'd settle down quickly after I left and go back  
to playing with Lola, it still broke my heart and it was all I could  
do not to go back and get him. It's going to be three very long weeks  
without my hounds, and I'm not sure I'll find many pet dogs in Turkey  
to pat either. I'll have to do a lot of sightseeing to take my mind  
off what I'm leaving behind.
