it seems as though Buddydawg needs to be on needing drool side of the fence
instead of the sending drool side...he has had what appears to be a UTI for
the past several weeks and it has been treated with anitbiotics...a culture
showed white cluster cells and red cells, but nothing specific for
treatment...the vet put him on augmentin for two weeks and then a followup culture
due right after thanksgiving, and, if necessary, an ultrasound after
that...an xray showed what appears to be a prostate, but he is neutered, so that
shouldn't be there...he is really tough to get meds into, as you may have read
my previous post on that issue, and so he is not getting his antibiotic as
needed, nor his arthritis meds, nor his tramadol, as for the past two days he
is refusing almost anything that looks like food, other than treats...he is
drinking water...and so there is nothing to hide the meds in...i think he
is suspicious of everything at this point...anyway, this afternoon he has
started to upchuck just once (some food that held the am dose of augmentin) and
a peice of swiss cheese later on...tomorrow morning we have an appt with Dr
Luke, the vet, and would appreicate some problem solving drool from any who
can spare it....Buddydawg is about 12 years old, handsome and sweet and
very clever and is a tristate rescue who has been mine for the past 6
years...thanks...Rene'e
