[Dailydrool] Gus's calander day and BIG 15th birthday

Well to day is Gus's big day. First he turns 15 and it his calender day.
I have been so blessed to have him with me as long as I have. I got him at the age of 7 on 5/26/2002. So full of life and took each day with zest and zeal. We have traveled many of miles together attending basset events or just vacationing. Up until 2 years a go he was a avid hiker his last hike he did was a 4 miler with 3 other basset friends and he lead the pack. We still will do some longer walks(under half a mile)now which he thoroughly enjoys. 
Over the last few months it has truly hit me that he getting very old because he has never acted his age. As many of you have read my last few post Gus was diagnosed with CCD doggie Alzheimer. Physically there is nothing wrong he just gets pooped faster then he use to.
We are have a big day today I will write more later when all the festivities are done.
