[Dailydrool] unfriendly neighbors

We live in a neighborhood with many other dogs. One neighbor, who is dog-less, often yells at us to keep our dogs off her lawn. (There are no sidewalks, so it's easy to go from road to lawn.) The other morning, as my husband was walking the hounds, she came out with biscuit treats for them. He thanked her and pocketed them, uncertain of her sudden turnabout of affection. So, don't forget to always pay attention on those walks. It's hard to do when those hounds are sniffing and pulling and running. I had to have a total knee replacement this year after our first-born basset took me for a flying run when he took off after another dog and I didn't let go of the leash soon enough! And boy, do they love this cool weather! Who knew those short legs could move so fast!
