[Dailydrool] question

Hi everybody,

I have been pet sitting for basset fauve for 8 weeks(she was only suppose to
be here 3 weeks).The owner cannot have her where she lives(long story on
that)
The woman has not shown up to see her or provide anything for her but swears
she wants her back.I can't keep her because she does not get along with my 2
females,gets on fine with the boys.I live in Illinois and was wondering if
anyone knows whether this is classified as abandonment.I am able to find her
a good home,especially since she is classified as a rare breed by the AKC.

Normally I would just keep her but I foster bassets and wouldn't be able to
take a female in.Any input would be appreciated.
