[Dailydrool] OMBR has puppies!

Ozark Mountain Basset Rescue had a big surprise last night. Our little 
girl Penelope, blessed us with 9 beautiful puppies!

Penelope came to us very emaciated, extremely ill with worms, covered 
with flea and tick bites and to top it all off, she's heartworm positive 
and is currently undergoing treatment. The vet didn't think she could 
possibly be expecting because of her condition, but she fooled us! Her 
foster mom, operating under the assumption that Penelope wasn't 
expecting, became concerned because she wasn't gaining weight anywhere 
but her belly and was worried that it could be a reaction to the hw 
treatment, so she took her back to the vet on Friday. That's when we 
found out that poor condition or not, Penelope was expecting and would 
whelp within 2 weeks! 24 hours later we had puppies. 9 of them. And no, 
we weren't prepared in the least, just very, very surprised.
