Helena,
I am so sad for Emma, that she got a chance, but her medical status was so bad that she really didn't get that second chance.

My heart breaks when I read about all the ones going to the bridge. I looked at the bio of Emma and I saved her picture to go on the memorial pages for the 2010 Senior Basset calendar. The memorial pages are for any hound who has passed away in the last year.

I also wanted to put this out to all the DD folks. We are getting down towards the the deadline for our graphic designer. If there is anyone out there, who has had a beloved hound leave for the bridge this past year, and you would like their picture to be on the memorial pages, please email me at houndsabound at att.net.
This is for any age hound, and is not something that there needs to be a donation for. At the rate we have seen hounds leave this last year, we might have a full four pages of photos, but I do not want hound left out...if their slave wants them in it.

I do not always get a chance to respond to each bridge post, but know that for everyone I read, prayers are said, candles are lit and the Boudndrs sing each night to those making that journey. Sometimes I have to lead the song, but they finish it up.

drool to all who need it,

wen and teh Bounders
