[Dailydrool] Penelope's Pups are three weeks old today!

 An update on the Orphan Pups
OMBR's orphan pups will be 3 weeks old tomorrow, Friday.  They are growing
like weeds now, and looking plump and sleek - AND all basset!  As you know,
their momma rejected them, and one of our great foster families has been
raising this little litter by hand.  Thank so much to everyone who has
donated to help provide them with formula, and later, vet care, shots,

Above is a photo of them taken just yesterday; it's after lunch time, but
before "clean up" time, so forgive the mess.. but aren't they adorable?

Update on Mama Penelope
We are very relieved to report that Penelope is doing very well.  The first
few days after the birth of the pups, she was so aggressive that we feared
for her sanity.  Well, as it turns out, she was very ill from the birthing.
 Once the vet was able to get her feeling better, she is now a little
sweetheart again!  She has gained weight, and wags her tail, and is
beginning to get that little sparkle back in her eyes.  She is a small
girl,and after her heartworm treatment is finished, she will make someone a
perfect little lap basset!
