[Dailydrool] Hairless Basset comes to AZ Basset Rescue and needs lots of drool, financial support and a foster home in AZ

Meet Shamus - he came into the Rescue today from the AZ Humane Society who
wasn't able to care for him.  As you can tell from the pictures, he has lost
most of his hair.  The vet is currently trying to figure out what is going
on - mites and mange have been ruled out.  Shamus is scheduled to stay at
the vet until Saturday, but will need a foster home after then.

 

Yes, Shamus is going to require some extra special care.  He will need daily
baths, with the provided medicated shampoo, he will also be on several meds
to help with any infections.  He will also need to be on special food, but
AZBHR will cover the cost of the food.  Shamus is a large basset - while he
is nothing but skinny and bones right now - he still weighs in at 50 pounds.
