I took Barney to the vet this morning and he promptly puked on her floor. He has lost 2.5 lbs since Jan 30 and his liver is very enlarged and nodular. She agreed that we are close and concurs with the plan to keep him with me this weekend. I will give some sub-Q fluids to help support him and try small amounts of baby food or rice as he tolerates. Then on Tues - I work late on Monday - we will let Barney go on to his next adventure. I'll spend as much time cuddling him as I can. I can't spoil him with food but he can get lots of hugs, kisses, and belly rubs. This weekend is going to pass much too quickly.
