[Dailydrool] Snow Apologies

If Momperson feels guilty with only 3 inches, we are mortified to have NO snow on the ground. And it has
been in the 40's. The dogs walk at Dimple Dell gully, which is Utah scrub oak and sage brush with mostly sandy trails. Does have a great mountain view. Even all the mud has finally dried up.
I walk all four on flexis and my only problem lately has been Buster. He is my foster with Addisons who
was on too much Prednisone for a year. He weighs 103, which is the heaviest basset UFBH has EVER
had. I don't like the name Buster, really, so just call him Bus-Bus or just Bus (as in big yellow school)
Anyway--he moves pretty well in spite of his size. Every one else sniffs around and moves on. Bus DIVES
into bushes and thickets and gets himself stuck and snuffles and snorts and acts like it is life and death to
get whatever mouse or gopher or heaven knows what is in the bushes. Dobi and Bus both slip their collars,
so they have choke chains on the walk. I feel guilty when I am jerking and yanking him backwards out of
the bushes because of the choke chain, but he is way overly zealous and also keeps getting himself tangled up-- which is not a happy situation with the other three.
There are probably no suggestions, but if anyone has any I would love to hear them. I just try to keep his
flexi shortened up and not let him get too far off trail.
And again, sorry for the "no snow February thaw". When we are conserving water in the summer it won't seem so great.
