[Dailydrool] Aspirin

This may be stupid question, but I have some Bayer low dose baby aspirin at home and was wondering if this was safe to give one of my bassets as an anti-inflammatory?  If it is safe does anyone know what the proper dosage would be for a 50lb basset?  Thanks in advance!
