[Dailydrool] Anals

My pup is about a year old now, and I don't know if he needs his anal gland emptied or not. Probably never has had it done. I did see him scoot just once, but he was being treated for tape worm. Is he too young to need it? I had my Basset done regularly until the vet told me he didn't need it every time he was bathed, about every 6 weeks because he hated baths.
