I wash eyes at least once a day but will wash Sadie's more because she an Nelly Belle
have the droopiest eyes her.
Eye Treatments
Chamomile that has been brewed into a tea and cooled can be used to help soothe a
dog's eye. Dip a white cotton washcloth in chamomile and apply to the outside of the
dog's eyes several times a day.
1.. Eyewashes can help clear out debris and be helpful in preventing infection.
2.. Boil a cup of distilled water
3.. Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt
4.. 10 drops of Calendula, Echinachea, Eyebright or St. John's Wort (choose only one of these four herbs).
5.. Once the eyewash is cool, you can rinse the eye out
I actually use a little syringe (without the needle) to flush out but you can also use a
squirt bottle. I also keep a bottle of hypo-allergenic saline on hand in case I need something in a hurry.
