how to hold the hound's ears up without tape....

when I got my first basset, Lady, as a puppy, her ears would drag the ground
on walks, so I got some hair scruncies (scrungies?) teen gals put their pony
tails up with - a circular fabric covered elastic - (I guess somewhat like a
snood but tiny)...just enough give to place on both ears and adjusted to
keep the ears and "open" for ventilation (and keep them off the
ground)...might be an option
