I thought I'd share that article ("Whipped Named Most Expensive Dog  
to Look After") with Ken, who's been rather interested in whippets  
since seeing some chasing a lure at a sighthound tracking event many  
years ago. But the article names the basset as the number two most  
expensive dog to look after, so I think I'll just keep this article  
to myself after all. He's not been too happy about our spending  
almost $300 at the vet's and still not knowing what was wrong with  
young Charlie (who's happily feeling like his old self again). He  
doesn't need to have his suspicions about basset health care costs  
confirmed!
